Critical Infrastructure

Prime & Backup Power

As the world grows the need for reliable prime & backup power to keep critical public safety systems operational 24/7 has also grown. We can provide completely integrated and reliable prime & backup power systems (solar, wind, solid oxide fuel cells, stirling engines, batteries, battery boxes and battery enclosures) for critical traffic intersections, highway call boxes, overhead emergency signage, advanced warning systems (tornado & tsunami), weather stations, security & surveillance systems, border control, remote monitoring, guard gates, runway lighting and much more!

Solar Power Systems

Prime & Backup Power
System Range: 50W-100kW

Solar Power Systems provide a reliable and proven source of DC power by converting sunlight directly into electricity. Solar Power Systems are a good fit for infrastructure applications because they’re very economical, require very little maintenance and have no ongoing fueling requirements. We offer both grid-tie and off-grid systems with a variety of mounting configurations including pole mount, ground mount, roof mount and custom mount solutions (pictured above).

Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

Extended-Run Backup Power
System Range: 250W-1kW

Solid Oxide Fuel Cells provide a reliable source of DC power by converting chemical energy into electricity. Powered by low cost propane or natural gas, our SOFCs are capable of providing days, weeks and even months of reliable, clean, extended-run backup power protection to charge batteries and power critical intersections, advanced warning systems, security & surveillance systems and much more during power outages.

Stirling Engine Generators

Prime & Backup Power
System Range: 1.8kW-5.6kW

PowerGen Stirling Engine Generators are a maintenance-free alternative to diesel/gas generators for mid-to-high prime and backup power requirements. Compared to other power generating technologies, the PowerGen requires no routine maintenance or oil changes, has no start/stop cycle limitations and is conservatively estimated to provide 60,000+ hours of service! Multiple output configurations (120/240VAC and 24/48VDC) provide a high level of flexibility to meet a variety of critical infrastructure applications.

Wind Turbines

Supplemental Power
System Range: 350W-1250W

SuperWind Micro-Wind Turbines (350W & 1250W) provide a source of DC power by capturing the energy of moving air and converting it into electricity. SuperWind Micro-Wind Turbines are made of the highest quality components – salt water resistant aluminum alloy and stainless steel for autonomous operation in any harsh environment. When the application is critical, the professional soluton is SuperWind!

Battery Enclosures

Indoor Battery Protection
Customizable Sizes*

Unwanted exposure to airborne contaminents and accidental human interaction can compromise the performance and safety of your battery system(s). Our industrial Battery Enclosures are customizable to fit virtually any size and type of battery bank located in harsh indoor environments where space may be limited and performance and safety is important.

Battery Boxes

Outdoor Battery Protection
Standard & Custom Sizes*

Our robust Battery Boxes are designed to shield and protect battery systems located in harsh outdoor environments. Constructed of all-welded aluminum (steel construction also available) and featuring fully insulated panels, these battery boxes provide excellent protection for your batteries. We offer several standard sizes and can provide a high level of customization.

Alkaline Fuel Cells

Extended-Run Backup Power
System Range: 5kW+

Alkaline Fuel Cells (AFC) were one of the first fuel cell technologies developed, and they were the first type widely used in the U.S. space program to produce electrical energy and water on-board spacecraft. Powered by hydrogen or ammonia our AFCs are capable of providing long-duration backup power in a compact, resilient and zero-emissions package. AFCs are ideally suited for for critical telecommunications and other mission-critical applications.
