RedHawk Energy Systems, LLC was created in Pataskala, OH in the early 1980s and is an ISO-9001:2015 certified manufacturing subsidiary of the Arthur N. Ulrich Company. We are a proud, third generation family business built on the pillars of performance, reliability, customization, risk reduction, cost reduction, and technological advancement.
Who We Serve
We specialize in helping commercial and industrial customers tackle their critical prime and backup power challenges with innovative solutions, ranging from a few watts to several kilowatts.
We have customers in the following industries:
- Railroads and rail transit agencies
- Telecommunication companies
- Electric utilities
- Oil & gas utilities
- EV charging and energy storage
- Local, state and federal government agencies
We work with our customers to select the prime and backup power solutions that work best for them. We do not believe in “one size fits all”. Instead, we create custom solutions for each customer based on their specific needs. We provide professional engineering, integration and design services for the products we sell. We also provide professional startup/commissioning, maintenance and replacement services.

In school, Tom enjoyed math and science as well as people. He felt that by going into engineering sales, he could have the best of both worlds. When it comes to work, he enjoys the satisfaction of solving real-world issues for a customer and the diversity of the industry over the course of more than 45 years.
Tom has the most fun spending time with his children and grandchildren, and watching them grow and mature. He also enjoys most sports, particularly golf and tennis.

Jim enjoys the variety of projects and industries he’s involved with at RedHawk because no two days are the same.
He is a golfer and hiker, and enjoys watching his grandchildren participate in sports.
Mark Ulrich

Mark has a keen interest in seeing a new product develop from an idea, to a sketch, to a CAD design, to analysis, and finally to a finished product in the field. He takes pride in being a part of a team that designs an idea and watches it come to fruition as a finished product.
When he’s not working, Mark enjoys playing, coaching, and watching sports in his spare time.

In his spare time, Matt is a sports car enthusiast and enjoys playing golf with friends and family.
