What is a Fuel Cell?
A fuel cell is a solid state DC generator
that converts chemical energy into electricity. Fuel Cells are
clean, reliable, quiet and have been deployed worldwide for a
variety of critical backup power applications. We
currently offer fuel cells from IdaTech and UltraLife. See
detailed information below.

ElectraGen™
ME
IdaTech designs, develops and
manufactures backup power fuel cell systems. The ElectraGen
ME System is an extended run backup power fuel cell system,
available in 2.5kW and 5kW configurations. The system
includes a fuel reformer that converts methanol and water
liquid fuel (HydroPlus) into hydrogen gas to power the fuel
cell system. Operating on HydroPlus, methanol and
water liquid fuel, the ElectraGen ME System generates its
own hydrogen, onsite and on-demand, eliminating the need for
delivery and storage of hydrogen, providing power for the
long run.
Designed for high reliability, long autonomy and minimal
maintenance, the ElectraGen ME is a great replacement for
unreliable, noisy, maintenance intensive diesel generators.
