Product Overview:
RedHawk Energy Systems, LLC offers a range of packaged Hybrid Power Systems for critical remote site and backup power requirements. In these systems, different power generation and storage units are combined to complement each other and meet the energy demands of the application.
Photovoltaic (Solar) Power Systems or Wind & TEG - Model HPS-PT
This type of hybrid power system combines the economics of a PV (solar) power system with the reliability of a thermoelectric generator (TEG). The PV (solar) power system provides power during periods of abundant sunshine while the TEG provides power during periods of insufficient solar radiation / inclement weather. A TEG converts heat directly into electricity and contains no moving parts, therefore it requires very little maintenance annually. A TEG can be used in all types of climates (hot, cold, wet, dry) and its rugged design is not susceptible to dust, and other airborne contaminants. A small battery bank is usually integrated with this type of hybrid power system to cover peak loads or to provide emergency backup. The contribution of the PV (solar) power system or wind generator is that it helps to reduce the fueling needs/costs of a thermoelectric generator-only system.
