Product Overview 
Built upon the foundation of the successful Microlynx M0024 Series, the RH1 provides enhanced capabilities and features in a convenient and economical package. The RH1 is specifically designed to provide accurate capacity measurements of batteries that are in-service, as well as batteries at the shop or laboratory.  

The RH1 is suitable for many basic battery testing applications.  It features a wide input voltage range, constant current discharge mode with user settable discharge rate, and user-settable termination conditions.  The RH1 has a USB connection portal that can be used to read back data from internal memory and may be used to set the operating parameters directly.  The RH1 also supports memory logging to an external SD memory card. 

How It Works
For a variety of reasons, batteries lose capacity over time.  Determining the true capacity cannot be accomplished by simply measuring the voltage of the battery or its cells, even under load conditions.  The only reliable method of determining a battery's capacity is to measure the time it takes to discharge the battery into a known load. 

Operation of the RH1 is straightforward and allows a capacity test to be run unattended.  At the conclusion of the test, the RH1 automatically reconnects the battery to the charger to allow recharging to start.  In order to provide adequate and continuous operation, the RH1 allows an auxiliary battery to be used during a test to temporarily replace the permanent backup battery.  In the event of an AC power failure during a test, the RH1 terminates the test to allow the remaining capacity of the permanent backup battery to be used to power the protected systems. With so much riding on the performance of your batteries, the RH1 can provide you with the peace of mind of knowing exactly how your battery system is capable of performing.
